It has a speedometer that is digital along with an analog counter for revs. It is possible to see the top speed and the 60-minute time on this bike. There is a clip-on handlebar on the bike. The construction quality of the gears used for the switch is extremely good.

I love the design of the motorcycle. They did not design it to be compact, however, they made every effort to make this as user-friendly as possible. I’m sure the designer looked at cheetahs (the fastest animal ever) in the process of designing this bike.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition is a naked street-legal bike with race-inspired decals. The ergonomics of the TVS Apache RTR 160 always resembled dedicated sportbikes. The bike comes in four different colors. They are:

All four colors come with the race edition decals. The Apache logo has also been made 3D in these bikes.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster. The instrument cluster has a speedometer, odometer, RPM counter (analog), and a fuel gauge as the basic information. Beyond the previously mentioned information, the instrument cluster also has a trip meter, a top speed marker, and a clock. What the bike misses is a gear position indicator, which would have been a big addition to the bike.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition comes with a very basic light setup. The front has a halogen headlight and the rear has an LED taillight. The indicators of the bike are LED. The unique part about the bike is the DRL at the front. The eye-inspired LED DRLs look vicious in the dark.

Physical Attributes:
The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition is a nimble bike. But it has a seat height of 790mm, which is suitable for riders above 5’3” and below 5’9”, but the riders beyond that height might find it a bit difficult to ride on. The bike also has a ground clearance of 165mm, which is fairly suitable for Bangladesh. It also has a tank of 16 liters, which ensures that the rider doesn’t run out of fuel very often in long rides.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition has length, width, height, and weight of 2085mm, 730mm, 1105mm, and 137kg respectively. The bike is probably the lightest bike of the 160cc segment, which makes it very easy to maneuver around in heavy traffic. The bike has a wheelbase of 1300mm, which is very average for cornering.

Engine and Transmission:
The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, and 159.7cc engine. The engine is carbureted and air-cooled. The engine pumps out around 15.2BHP of power at 8500rpm and 13.1Nm of torque at 4000rpm. RTR means Racing Throttle Response, which is visible when we look at the specs of this bike. The torque kicks in very early and this allows the bike to hit 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. The bike also comes with IDI Dual mode digital ignition system, and it has both kick and switch start. The bike has a fuel economy of around 38-45kmpl.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition has a wet multi-plate clutch system. It has a 5-speed gearbox, which is not ideal for a 160cc bike but can be accepted. The bike is expected to have a top speed of around 125-130kmph.

Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition comes in two variants, a dual disc, and a single disc brake setup variant. The front disc is 270mm and the rear has a 200mm disc or a 130mm drum. The bike neither comes with ABS nor CBS. The brakes however do not have the best reputation in Bangladesh. Even our test ride revealed that the brake response is not up to the mark.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition has basic telescopic forks at the front and two gas-filled inverted mono-tube at the rear. The front forks are quite soft, which will allow the bike to off-road well but is not the best for cornering. The rear suspension has an average response.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition has alloy wheels. The front and rear wheels have 90/90, and 110/80 tires respectively. The front tire is perfect for the bike. However, the rear tire would have been better and performed at the top of its class if it was 130 sections.

Target Audience:
The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition is targeted at the youth. The young university goer and the fresh graduates riding to their offices on this bike will have great impressions. The bike is very suitable for young riders. But this bike is not for beginners, as this is filled with power and may also overwhelm new riders.
